A beautiful black Kurotomesode, one of Japan’s most formal traditional kimono, has been transformed into an elegant three-quarter-sleeve dress.
The original kimono features graceful tanzaku motifs—decorative strips of paper traditionally associated with poetry and wishes—beautifully accompanied by seasonal flowers and pine trees.
The dress combines a clean, elegant neckline with a beautifully flowing long skirt.
The softly gathered three-quarter sleeves flatter the arms while creating a gentle and feminine impression.
As you walk, the tanzaku motifs and seasonal flowers along the hem move beautifully with the fabric, revealing the exquisite decorative artistry unique to Japanese kimono.
The kimono features the Gosan no Kiri (Five-Three Paulownia) crest.
This is a prestigious traditional Japanese crest that has historically been used by the Imperial household and the Japanese government. It is not an exclusive family crest belonging to a particular household, so it can be worn by anyone without representing a specific family.
